Licensed Practical Nurse
Works as part of a co-occurring (Substance Abuse and Mental Health) community based residential treatment program. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to individuals with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Provides medical assistance to residents in a long-term residential treatment program. Must have knowledge of practical nursing skills. Duties include medication administration, triaging medical needs, documentation in electronic health records, referrals to outside medical services and liaison to outside primary care providers. Works as part of a team alongside the clinical staff to ensure that residents' medical and clinical needs are met.
This position is eligible for a $2000 bonus for full-time, new hires. Multiple positions in similar program across Fairfax County may be filled from this advertisement.

Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program; plus two years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Possession of current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- CPR/First Aid (Required within 3 months)
Appointee will also be required to have a TB test annually.
Experience providing nursing care to adults with substance abuse and/or mental health diagnoses.
Experience with electronic health records.
Must be capable of providing nursing care/assistance including physically assisting adults in hygiene, personal care, and elimination. All duties perform with or without reasonable accommodations.
Panel interview; may include written exercise.
