The Director of Ambulatory Business Development is responsible for increasing utilization of Adventist HealthCare Ambulatory Services by educating and informing physicians and physician office personnel and other health care entities, as applicable, about the services offered, and the most efficient way to access those services, and by marketing services to the primary and secondary service areas. Under supervision from the SVP for Ambulatory Networks, the Director of Ambulatory Business Development will oversee all business development and marketing initiatives, physician liaison activities, business to business opportunities, identify potential referral sources, and solicit those referral sources using a consultative approach to build rapport and engage key decision makers. The Director will supervise all other business development staff members in each ambulatory service line.

  • Education and Experience Required:


  • B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited university in a business, healthcare or related field of study required. Master's Degree in related field required.
  • Strong leadership and consensus building skills with minimum of five years supervisory experience in healthcare
  • Minimum of five or more years of experience in business development/management and healthcare public relations/marketing.
  • Marketing management and strategic planning experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and administering a marketing program.
  • Polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess top level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a multi-task environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
