Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator - Supervisor for its Post Surgery Unit, Med/Surg Unit!

Hours/Shift: 7pm-7am, Full time position

Department/Position Overview: This unit specializes in the care of the Adult Surgical Patient. Registered Nurses rotate on PODs to assist patients recovering from the following surgeries: Bariatric (gastric bypass/gastric sleeve),Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery and trauma overflow patients. This is also a Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, on the Eastern Virginia Medical Campus, is a large 525-bed medical center, which serves as the primary teaching institution for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Responsibilities:

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.Required Education RN-Bachelor's Level Degree OR
