Sentara CarePlex is hiring a Day shift RN Charge Nurse/Unit Coordinator for the
Medicine Unit!

Department/Position Overview:
    This is a 24-bed Unit where we care for Medical/Surgical patients who have stable cardiac, oncology, diabetes, vascular, asthma concerns. Some of our patients have multiple health concerns. This is a fast-paced unit, great for new graduate RNs who can gain experience caring for patients with all types of health issues!

    The Registered Nurse collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.

    We welcome soon-to-graduate and new graduate Registered Nurses to our team!

18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

RN-Bachelor's Level Degree OR
RN-Doctorate Level Degree OR
RN-Master's Level Degree

Experience
Required: Nursing - Previous experience
