Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is recruiting for a flexi Clinical Dietitian to join our wonderful team in the Food Services Department. Must have Bachelor's Level degree in Dietetics and will be responsible for managing the patients' medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards. Position would serve as a resource for nutrition education for the hospital.

Department/Position Overview: This position will join the team in our beautiful, state of the art Dining Room/Kitchen to oversee clinical nutritional needs of our patients. Candidates who apply are required to have a Bachelors Level degree in Dietetics and must be a Registered Dietitian or Dietitian Nutritionist. Candidates who are not yet Registered as a Dietitian must achieve this within 9 months of hire date.Facility Highlights: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region’s first Magnet Hospital. It is a 525-bed medical center, and home to the area's only Level I Trauma Center, Burn Trauma Unit and Nationally Ranked Heart Program. In addition to a first rate heart program, the hospital is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and several dedicated facilities and specialized services. Sentara Norfolk General also serves as the primary teaching hospital for undergraduate and graduate education for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School

If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics. If not Reg Dietitian or RDN at hire, must obtain within 9 months. PACE specific incumbents for this position require a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population. BLS required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities:
