Overview:

Sentara Williamsburg is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator (Team Leader) for the Post Surgical/Ortho Unit! The position is Full time Day shift. BSN or above required.

Must have a minimum of 2 years recent, current Acute Care Med/Surg RN Experience to qualify for Sign-On Bonus






  • The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Sentara Healthcare by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system.

About this Unit:

4 North is a 24-bed surgical/orthojoint replacement center. It is a busy, fast-paced environment with an average length of stay of 2 days. 4 North works collaboratively with the physical therapy department to ensure our patients are safe for discharge and kept mobile throughout their entire stay. 4 North leads the hospital in customer service scores and abides by a culture of safety with fall mats, gait belts, and walkers in every room for patient use. Our nurse-patient ratios average 4-6 patients. About Williamsburg Regional Medical Center:

18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
