Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Cytogenetics Laboratory is hiring a Histo Technician.


Sentara Laboratory Services is a team of more than 700 Clinical Laboratory Professionals that service 12 hospitals and the communities around them in the Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina region.

Our Histo Technicians are patient focused, scientific experts that help our care teams to diagnose our patient population. Our best qualified candidate will have the following:
    NAACLS accredited Certificate program completed for Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL).Certified Histotechnicians and Histotechnologists with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) may be considered in lieu of education.ASCP certified HT or HTL required. Certification eligible applicants with ASCP may be considered in lieu of licensure. Proof of eligibility required upon hire. Certification for eligible employees shall be acquired within five years from date of hire.
