Overview:

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is recruiting for a full time OB Tech to join our team in Labor & Delivery to work full time day shift.

Department/Position Overview: This position will work under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse and be, responsible for assisting in the nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area including the provision of patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation. Activities are based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice and are performed within the scope of education, training, and experience. Candidate should be Surgical Technologist but will also consider an LPN with scrub experience.

Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care. The hospital offers a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology services. It also encompasses a Family Maternity Center.

Other
LPN or Surgical Technologist education & training accepted. If not an LPN, experience as Surgical Tech and CST preferred. BLS required within 90 days of hire.
