Degree from an accredited college or university and/or demonstrated information technology work experience of at least five years.
Minimum 2 years' experience administrator experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
Demonstrated competence in a wide range of technical and administrative areas to include management of technical applications, systems, and projects that include major hardware, software, and resource components. Demonstrated understanding of and experience with systems engineering principles, application development, technical architecture, and IT project management. At least three years of experience on successful large and complex technical projects and initiatives. Knowledge and experience with authentication, including Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP. Knowledge and experience with security concepts, IT service delivery, customer support, and support of large environment enterprise services.
Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to absorb and manage large quantities of information in a fast paced, stressful environment. Ability to recognize and deal with politically sensitive issues in both technical and legislative environments. Ability to work independently and effectively with a wide array of offices and individuals at all levels, including communication and interaction with management. Must have the ability to work well with others to include reviewing work products, jointly designing and producing solutions, and communicating status and relevant information.
Excellent written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce user friendly, "publication quality" materials and technical documentation. Effective oral communication and presentation skills with successful experience collaborating with information systems professionals and non-technical users and operating in a team environment.
Incumbent must be able to work additional hours as necessary, provide 24x7 technical support for the House's information technology infrastructure, and at times travel to alternate locations. Incumbent must be vetted by the Capitol Police and able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by management.
Preferred but not required Qualifications:
Familiarity with the legislative or federal government processes and environments. Experience with NetIQ's Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA). Knowledge and experience integrating Active Directory with applications.
