Job Summary:

Westat is seeking an IT Specialist to join a small product team responsible for developing SharePoint websites.  Candidate would be involved with the entire product development lifecycle including analyzing user requirements, implementing out-of-the-box and third party features and functionality, testing, deployment, documentation, training, and support.  This is a great opportunity to work closely with a talented team of experienced managers and developers and contribute to a vast array of websites that range from simple document management and collaboration sites to highly customized applications.

Job Responsibilities:

· Requirements Definition: Consult with end-users to understand (and prioritize) business needs. Recommend solutions based on needs, capabilities, costs, and benefits. · Project Management: Devise, develop, plan and direct the implementation of project websites. Monitor project timeline, status, and performance to meet planned objectives. · Development and Reporting:   Create websites using SharePoint and 3rd party add-ons.  Use SSRS to produce reports.  · Documentation: Write technical documentation, references, and/or training materials.  · Report status to management:  Create reports to meet management, project, or end-user specifications. · Keep up to date on technology: Monitor technology/industry trends. Recommend upgrades where appropriate and cost effective. Provide consulting and/or training on evolving tools and trends.  · Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

· A Master's degree in a computer technology related field with 7 plus years of relevant experience with SharePoint, SSRS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as SharePoint Designer, workflows, and 3rd party tools including KwizCom required. 
Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Westat experience is preferred.
