Communications and Outreach Specialist

Personnel Status: PIN/Exempt
Department: President's Office
Open Date: November 20, 2018

Responsibilities: Provide support for internal and external relations on behalf of the President. Work closely with Chief of Staff to ensure staffing of President at meetings and events. Handle special projects. Participate in and ensure follow up from meetings. Prepare reports, briefings, talking points, Power Point presentations and other content. Track goals and objectives. Maintain Webpage. Handle confidential and sensitive matters. Provide outstanding customer services. Provide back up support for scheduling and monitoring of President's email account. Other duties as required.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communication, English or relevant field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum five (5) years related experience, preferably in a higher education setting. Excellent written and oral communication skills, time management, organization and planning skills. Ability to think strategically, anticipate issues, take initiative and work independently. Must be able to anticipate issues, meet deadlines and work in a collaborative team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and polished presentation skills. Strong research skills. Strong work ethic, self-starter and detailed-oriented. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to represent the President's Office with the highest level of integrity and discretion. Demonstrated commitment to excellence.

SALARY: $50,000 - $60,000 RangeII
