The Office of the Provost at George Mason University is looking for a detail oriented, energetic person to support the coordination and implementation of all university accreditation requirements. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for specifically supporting the requirements of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC), SARA and other discipline specific accreditation support requirements. The position reports to the Associate Provost for Academic Initiatives and Services and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of George Mason Universitys self-study for reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This position will also assist with special projects and academic innovation initiatives.
- Masters degree is required;
- Excellent writing and public speaking skills;
- Working skills communicating with the academic community, including presentation, databases, and project management software;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Knowledge of higher education academic affairs policies and procedures;
- Ability to communicate with a diverse clientele, work in a team environment, conduct independent research, interpretation and analysis. Preferred qualifications:
- PHD in a related field;
- Specific knowledge of SACSCOC requirements.
