Exercise Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Plan, develop, coordinate, and execute all levels of exercise events, including seminars, workshops, tabletops, games, drills, functional, and full-scale and report the findings or results from every exercise executed on behalf of the client. Develop products, including meeting notes, mock exercise injects and products, exercise scripts or plays, after action reports, and recommendations. Brief at planning conferences of various sizes and culminate findings in clear succinct reporting that will be actionable to the managers and fellow planners. This position may require travel up to 15% of the time throughout CONUS and OCONUS.

Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience with exercise events

-5 years of experience with involving the use and application of the National Incident Management System and Incident Command Structure in all-hazard crisis response situations

-Experience with the Microsoft Office suite for the development of exercise deliverables

-Experience with various intelligence community tools and databases

-Experience with working in a fast-paced environment while multitasking, including handling multiple phone calls, monitoring cable traffic or e-mails, and tasking from various government agencies

-Experience with IC community clients

-Ability to travel both domestically and internationally in support of client goals

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree or 4 years of experience with formal military training

-Homeland Security Exercises and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Certified

Additional Qualifications:

-8 years of experience with exercise planning in the intelligence community or military preferred

-Ability to be a self-starter and effectively communicate with senior managers

-Ability to coordinate with partners in oral and written formats

-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills
