SUMMARY: Trade Street Advisors is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented team member to join its firm and support one of its clients on-site. Our client is a major participant in the ~$2 trillion mortgage and mortgage securities industries. The client's Compliance team provides independent, objective audit and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the company's operations. The team helps management accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control frameworks, and governance processes. Reporting to the Trade Street's Managing Director of Compliance, the Compliance Auditor provides support and assistance to complement the client's role in performing servicing and operational audits (Compliance Reviews) of its mortgage servicing partners. This position also provides additional learning and professional development opportunities. The position is located on the client's campus, providing access to private parking garage, eateries, and other amenities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: . Performs general controls. . Maintains loan administration. . Assists in identifying and reporting gaps and inefficiencies. . Conducts detailed audit work paper reviews. . Maintains accounting and investor reporting testing. . Travels to servicer sites to perform Compliance Reviews, as assigned. . Performs other related duties as assigned by management and leads. . Assumes a key role in the team's day-to-day interactions and collaborations, to ensure deadlines and other team and individual deadlines are met. . Completes all audits within required timeframes. QUALIFICATIONS: . Bachelor's Degree or higher 5-10+ years of audit, residential mortgage banking compliance experience, or quality control experience 5-10+ years of mortgage servicing experience Familiarity with Multifamily servicing operations . Working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems. . Highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, self-disciplined and team-oriented. . Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and critical thinking skills. . Strong personality capable of delivering adverse news and deadline requirements to peer and senior members of the organization. . Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word . Experience understanding and interpreting loan documents and lender servicing agreements . CMBS experience is a plus COMPETENCIES: .
