Job Description Position Admissions Coordinator Location North Bethesda Maryland Reports to Manager of Admissions and Business Development Work Environment Treatment Center Employment Type Full time position with benefits will require occasional weekend call weekend per month Po sition Overview In combination with other team members the Admissions Coordinator handles inquiries through chat messages and calls for Sandstone Care services contributes to the collateral contact efforts for existing Sandstone Care clients and supports Sandstone Care with client placement during and after program The Admissions Coordinator also supports collection of payments for private pay clients deductibles fees etc Education Bachelors Degree is required Bachelors or Masters Degree in a Behavioral Health Science clinical social work clinical psychology marriage and family therapy or a related field or in Education is preferred Training Experience Experience working with families young adults and adolescents Previous experience with substance abuse treatment is preferred preferred experience with a treatment facility in the detox residential partial hospitalization PHP and or intensive outpatient IOP settings preferred Ideal candidate has experience with clients from the age of to or working with parents of this age group Other Duties Responsibilities of the Position Contribute to a high performing culture focused on partnering with clients as we inspire and empower change Assist the team in the design implementation and management of the academic vocational program running sessions in a group and individual format employing goal oriented tasks for clients with substance abuse and clients struggling with a dual diagnosis if applicable Assist the team in answering inquiry phone calls chats and messages emails and requests from potential clients family members and collateral contacts for clients struggling with substance abuse and clients struggling with a dual diagnosis if applicable Adhere to all aspects of the clinical program s policies and procedures to ensure quality performance and assist the Admissions Supervisor in any quality improvements that may be necessary Complete verification of insurance benefits coordinate payment from public funding sources and private pay Participate in weekly clinical team meetings discussing treatment formulation progress regress and or failure help support follow up care and liaison communication Participate in weekly Admissions Intake team meetings Assist in the recruitment of clinically competent and dually trained Mental Health Substance Abuse clinicians or admissions professionals Work closely with all members of the clinical and outreach team to assure positive working reslationships Must consistently demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain good public relations with families referral agencies and other community resources Must have the ability to express ideas clearly concisely convincingly and effectively when addressing an audience To consistently exercise good judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events Participate on committees and in professional meetings and staffings as necessary for the functions of the program Provides supportive leadership for community meetings and selected off campus activities Participates in on and off campus activity programming Participates in marketing activities Participates in the facility wide Performance Improvement Program Other duties as assigned ABOUT SANDSTONE CARE The Sandstone Care team is united behind our mission of Inspiring and Empowering Change The work we do is incredibly meaningful and humbling as we help support individuals and families through their recovery journey Sandstone Care is a Colorado based treatment program specializing in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with substance use and co occurring mental health disorders We deliver care through an innovative treatment approach which addresses not only substance use and underlying mental health concerns but also supports the entire ecosystem including treating the broader family system providing academic vocational support and helping clients build new healthy communities to support their longer term recovery Overall our mission is to Empower and Inspire Change among our clients their respective families and within our team We re relentlessly focused on improving our quality of care with a keen focus on staff development outcomes and systems improvements
