Job Description Responsibilities The Transwestern family of companies together comprise a privately held diversified real estate services investment and development organization A unique approach underlies our success We do business differently by empowering our team members with the resources and independence to deliver extraordinary results to our clients It s simple We start with hiring hard working smart genuinely good people and organize them in collaborative cross functional teams We give them the support to outperform and the freedom to take ownership as they work to exceed our clients expectations We do business differently and that makes us Transwestern The Investment Services Group s Financial Analyst supports investment sales and finance brokers in the analysis of investment properties preparation of financial projections preparation of market comparable demographics analysis and designing graphics layout of responses to Requests for Proposals Broker Opinion of Values and Property Offering Memorandums This individual will have general knowledge of various real estate asset types asset cash flows lease vs purchase local investment and property markets and capital markets dynamics It is also the responsibility of the Financial Analyst not only to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with tenants prospective tenants owners investors and vendors but also to focus on productivity and results Experience Skills Education ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Preparation of long term cash flow projections and pricing of various property types utilizing Argus Excel and other valuation programs Preparation of investment offering memorandums sales proposals and BOVs including layout out of graphics Tour prospective buyers investors through properties Work with property managers leasing agents asset managers to compile necessary information during sales process Provide thorough analysis of neighborhood characteristics as they apply to potential sale or finance of a specific property Analyze financial terms of prospective deals including debt requirements return expectations hold period etc Abstracting leases loan documents and other pertinent legal documents Compilation of market information and comparable sales and lease information Assist with preparation of responses to RFP BOV s Ensure the timely production accuracy and quality of work product Facilitate and initiate relationships within industry for future business development Research analyze and present various economic and demographic factors key to the underwriting of a neighborhood market or MSA such as population affordability employment and labor force info Reports to the Executive Managing Director of the Mid Atlantic Investment Services REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor s degree in Business Management Finance Accounting or related discipline Experience A minimum of years experience in commercial real estate such as property management investment finance or investment banking transactions servicing institutional clients Technical Skills Computer proficient including knowledge in the following programs Argus In Design Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook ACT CoStar and related market data programs Strong analytical writing and organizational skills Financial modeling expertise Strong marketing presentation and communications skills Thorough understanding of real estate valuation techniques and utilization of valuation programs including Argus and Excel Ability to format and source market data for investment and offering memoranda Personal Skills Strong analytical writing and organizational skills Ability to multi task and juggle multiple projects Ability to produce quality work in a fast paced environment Ability to manage large workloads Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships with clients and project team members Stays up to date on current market conditions practices trends and factors that impact real estate investment markets Location Washington District of Columbia APPLY TODAY to be a part of an energetic and motivated team of professionals Transwestern offers an exciting work environment competitive salary and excellent benefits which include medical dental and vision coverage as well as aK plan Transwestern is an equal opportunity employer No agencies or phone calls please
