Job Description YOU MUST HAVE OBTAINED A DC st CLASS STEAM ENGINEERING LICENSE TO APPLY Melgar Facility Maintenance LLC MFM in conjunction with Logistics Technology Services Inc LTS are interviewing for a detail oriented hard working experienced OM Supervisor Operations and Maintenance or Chief Engineer The position is located in a Federal Government Office Building in the Washington DC area near Union Square This hands on position will direct the trade mechanics and trade engineers as well as the electricians develop the scope of and estimate projects and have a working knowledge of BAS Building Automation System control systems The ideal candidate will have previous federal contract experience Major Duties and Responsibilities Manage the daily operation maintenance and repair of all building systems and equipment Supervise and manage trade mechanics trade engineers and electricians staff including developing schedules hiring training and personnel development Perform and assign maintenance and repairs emergency and preventative maintenance Complete maintenance and repair records in a CMMS system as required Monitor building systems such as Building Management Systems to ensure business continuity and operation of equipment and systems Review logs as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment Provide hands on service to ensure peak operation and maintenance of building systems Ensure the availability of an adequate inventory of supplies to operate the building Supervise contracted maintenance and service vendors Oversee and maintain energy conservation programs Prepare and submit purchase order requests to the Project Manager Assist in the preparation of the monthly operating report and quality control inspections Be available for on call after hour issues that may arise within the facility Demonstrate and maintain outstanding customer service in all areas of responsibility Maintain knowledge of applicable OSHA NEC NFC and Life Safety Codes Qualified candidates will have prior experience in trade engineering management government or commercial building operations and maintenance Candidate must have knowledge of energy management techniques plant operations building systems operations and repair and maintenance They must also be able to demonstrate organizational skills show attention to detail have the ability to use time efficiently demonstrate proficiency in problem solving have the ability to supervise other on site personnel use common sense and show good judgement To be considered the Candidate must have DC st Class Steam Engineers License years experience in trade engineering management and government or commercial building operations and maintenance Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Universal CFC certification Building Automation System Direct Digital Controls Experience Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance current HSPD clearance a plus Continued education in the field Maximo or other CMMS system and Locksmith experience a plus Physical Requirements of the Job Ability to climb ladders and work from heights during normal performance of duties Capable of lifting a minimum of pounds or more of equipment and materials This is a union position with full benefits and free on site parking EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER MFM is an Equal Opportunity Employer Prospective employees will receive consideration without discrimination because of race color religion creed gender national origin age disability martial or veteran status sexual orientation or any other legally protected status We are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with physical and or mental disabilities MFM is an E verify Employer Applicants must receive favorable background and drug screen results and meet eligibility requirements for access to government computer systems and or facilities Drug screens follow Federal guidelines
