Job Description Endocrine Associates LLC is a busy endocrinologist office seeking for a Medical Laboratory Technician for a Laboratory Supervisor position to start immediately Responsibilities Full time Performs a variety of routine and complex blood drawing procedures including venipuncture and finger sticks Performs testing in the clinical laboratory for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease using standard techniques and equipment Perform related duties in laboratory to include storing and labeling specimens and using manual and automatic equipment to prepare specimens and perform analytical tests Performs testing accurately safely and within established time periods Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on testing instruments clean equipment maintain laboratory supply inventory performs routine maintenance on equipment Perform various Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols Successfully participates in all accreditation and other proficiency testing and annual performance competencies MLE times a year Calibration verification is done times a year Performs clinical laboratory test procedures for moderate and waived complexity testing according to written procedures and communicates results to appropriate caregiver Evaluates acceptability of test results by applying knowledge of specimen suitability test methodology quality control parameters age related factors critical values and disease related factors and verifies the results if acceptable Exhibits problem solving abilities and takes appropriate remedial and corrective action when test results are equivocal or equipment malfunction occurs to ensure accuracy and timeliness of results Hours are am to pm Monday through Friday We are looking for someone who is familiar with Beckman Coulter machinery AU and DXI Clinitek Status microscopic experience for urinalysis and has strong phlebotomy skills Our office specializes in Endocrinology General Immunology Routine Chemistry and basic Urinalysis Experience is preferred and training will be provided Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum Associates Degree in Medical Lab Sciences or Related Field Preferred Bachelor s Degree in Medical Lab Sciences CERTIFICATION LICENSES REQUIREMENTS Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP or AMT or Medical Technologist ASCP or AMT
