term take or pay agreements with creditworthy customers in the United Kingdom and Europe Enviva Partners owns and operates six plants in Northampton County and Ahoskie North Carolina Southampton County Virginia Amory and Wiggins Mississippi and Cottondale Florida They have a combined production capacity of approximately million metric tons of wood pellets per year In addition Enviva Partners owns a deep water marine terminal at the Port of Chesapeake Virginia which is used to export wood pellets Enviva Partners also exports pellets through the ports of Mobile Alabama and Panama City production capacity to nearly three million tons per year Description As a critical member of the Accounting Team you will be responsible for the management and review of all federal state and local and international income tax returns Ks and informational filings that are required to be filed by Enviva Holdings LP and subsidiaries The successful candidate will lead an internal team and have the ability to identify and research potential tax issues surrounding the Company s strategic plans Responsibilities will include Lead develop and promote a team of four professional staff with a consistent focus on efficiencies within the tax compliance and reporting functions Manage and review all federal state and local income and international tax filings that are required to be filed by Enviva Holdings LP and subsidiary entities Manage the preparation and filing of Ks including the K tax reporting compliance process for Enviva Partners LP a publicly traded master limited partnership MLP Manage and review required fixed asset and taxable income details required to compute IRC sections b and c allocations Lead tax planning projects utilizing both internal resources and third party service providers Partner with Investor Relations team related to tax communications ranging from K FAQ s to implications of new tax regulations on Enviva and the broader MLP industry Prepare review and manage the Enviva Partners LP qualified income calculation Responsible for transfer pricing and management services agreement arrangements Partner with Operations and Development teams on all tax matters related to current and planned business activities Responsible for the annual forecasting of real and personal property tax obligations and tax incentive program reporting and compliance Manage the filing process Responsible for developing and implementing lean thinking strategies Other tasks as assigned Requirements BABS in Accounting Certified Public Accountant license required Master s degree in taxation preferred Minimum of years of progressive tax accounting compliance experience Public accounting experience coupled with partnership and corporate tax experience strongly preferred Master s degree in taxation preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Expert knowledge of Excel and Word is required Demonstrated ability to work effectively with tax and accounting systems Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff Strong analytical abilities organized with attention to detail Motivated self starter
