Regional Merchandise Coordinator, Men's Tailored Clothing
Job Overview:Drive Tailored Clothing and Shoe sales increases via constant improvements in customer service and execution of central merchandising standards for select stores by developing partnerships with the stores/district teams/buying office and vendor community as well as mentoring sales associates. The Coordinator is responsible for driving execution through an on-going partnership with the Director.Reports to Director of Coordinators.Travel requirement: In stores 4 days per week.Essential Functions: Responsible for semi-annual district wide seminars, and or individual store training of personnel. Attends and actively participates in NY vendor seminars and then disseminates product information/strategy info to her/his stores Responsible for Seasonal vendor product info - keeping stores up to date on trends, key items and newness. The "Go to" expert for Store/District Management - essential link between Central Org and Stores.-Develops and maintains partnerships with DM and Store Management teams and regional planners. Responsible for analyzing business by location and developing action plans for improving business performance in a location and indentifying growth opportunities by store/district/or region. Analyzes data to see root causes of success or failure, works with Central team to address stock deficiencies and business opportunities in season and future planning. Participates in weekly conference calls with entire team led by Director (and a member of buying team) - to share strategies, tactics, ideas and Best Practices. Drive the success of Men's Private Events thru disseminating pre-sell goals, tool kit and coaching/monitoring of stores/associates. Provides timely and actionable District recaps to monitor and motivate the store teams Responsible for implementing CO's business driving initiatives - reacting to last minute strategies to get business. Execute central merchandising standards, floor plans, and visual presentation strategies as required by the Director,Central Merchants and DMM. Considered the Leader in Tailored & Shoes merchandising, product knowledge, and trainingAssociate Training: Train associates on product knowledge, the proper fitting of garments, use of Brannock Device and merchandise presentation in order to enhance our customers' shopping experiences. Provide alterations training as needed. Train associates on building and maintaining client relationships and work with specialists to expand current client base to grow the business. Serve as a role model of outstanding customer service using selling situations to model "best practice" selling behaviors Initiate and participate in promotional activities in region/store to further increase sales and consumer awareness and understanding of the product Ensure proper and timely execution and completion of all markdowns and RTV's. After approval by Director, responsible for planning and managing all business and travel expenses so all financial budgetsby season are met. Responsible for partnering with District Merchants to prioritize store visit schedule according to business needs.Qualifications:Education/Experience: Minimum of 5 years of retail management, buying or vendor-related experience, preferably in Men'sCommunication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.Reasoning Ability: A quick learner who is fast on their feet Other Skills: Strong leadership profile. Good knowledge of store operations. Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
