Position Description As a Product Specialist you will be responsible for increasing NEC Display Solutions' Direct View LED product sales. Your responsibilities will include territory support activities, such as product demonstrations, trade shows, training and sales seminars. You will work out of your home office located in the Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New York or New Jersey area and travel as required throughout the territory. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Become the technical product expert on Direct View LED product line, applications and associated solutions Collaborate with Product Marketing department to keep updated on the latest product knowledgeSales responsibility for a specified geographical territoryPartner with existing account-assigned Sales Representatives within territory to provide technical product knowledge and support to close salesEnsure adequate communication and consultation is provided to our customers to help close salesWork closely with Solutions Sales Architects in designing solutions for various Direct View LED applicationsProvide value by becoming the trusted advisor to customers Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations, assist with new product launches, product trainings, and review product roadmaps with new and existing customers Maintain knowledge of industry and related competitive products as well as be able to articulate differences in order to position NEC products in the marketplaceDemonstrate effective planning, organizational skills, and time managementAble to convey customer requirements to Sales and Product Marketing teamsPrepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information as well as engineering and application trendsTravel throughout territory - up to 60%Develop relationships with end users, strategic partners, distributors and resellers to maximize selling opportunitiesMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business or equivalentDirect View LED product and system sales experience requiredMinimum 2 Years Outside Sales experience with an IT reseller, Pro A/V dealer, A/V consulting firm or manufacturer within the high tech industryProven ability to communicate technical information to a wide audienceExperience in technical and solutions selling required Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communication skills Assess sales opportunities, applications and needs.Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approachesCTS certification is a plusVisio or CAD knowledge is a plusSalesForce or CRM knowledge is a plus Application Instructions We are an equal opportunity employer with a friendly, multicultural environment.
