Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and in coordination with other technicians, pharmacy technicians are responsible for a variety of duties to assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, distribution and delivery of medications, maintaining proper inventory levels, and keeping appropriate records and documentation. Rotating Shift Full-time Position Pay Grade: UD Accurately stages medication for dose preparation. Prepares injectable medications according to established procedures prior to pharmacist final check. Completes batch record and other required documentation. Picks up orders and delivers medication to patient care areas according to proceedures, within scheduled time frames and/or follows pneumatic tube procedures. Performs routine inventory of medication and supplies. Maintains drug storage and work areas in a neat and orderly fashion supporting a safe, orderly and clean work environment. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma and must be Registered with the MD Board of Pharmacy. Required to obtain PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification within one year of employment in the pharmacy department. Failure to obtain certification will result in termination..
