Join the SEARS HVAC Team as a Preventative Maintenance Tech The HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing technical service on Preventative Maintenance calls, shuttling necessary parts and supplies for service repair completion for Repair Technicians and performing on-the-job training tasks when working with a Break Technician on call types. Installation of new HVAC products as needed. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Performs Preventative Maintenance Checks on HVAC equipment in customers' homesRides with or meets Break/Fix Technician at designated locations to assist with service calls when assignedShuttles parts and supplies to Break/Fix Technician when applicableWorks as a dedicated team member of the HVAC team to ensure fast, flexible and expert service to every customerFollows the Value Added Services Process (ie, selling extended warranties, water filters, generating customer interest in new Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems as appropriate) by effectively communicating the benefits to the customerMaintains the highest level of service standards and communicates openly with District Technical Production Manager to assist as needed with resolving customer issuesInstalls new HVAC systems and related accessories according to safety and manufacturer's specificationsEnsures complete protection of customer's property by installed and servicing Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and material in a safe, professional and expeditious mannerRemoves any equipment necessary for the installation of new HVAC product and material according to manufacturer's specificationsCleans up work areas, including any areas that were utilized for the installation processMaintains truck stock inventory and ensures maintenance schedules are within the Company guidelines (ie, wash truck weekly, oil changes), and ensures tools and equipment are in safe operating conditionAdheres to all Company policies and proceduresCompletes all Technician training elements successfully within required timeframesPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills: EPA Certification RequiredYears of Related Experience: 1-2 YearsValid Driver's License RequiredAge Requirement: 18+High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Knowledge of basic electrical principlesAbility to communicate, read, understand and apply written text of a technical nature in order to answer questions, solve problems or complete job tasksComplete knowledge of all tools, equipment and materials used to perform services on Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unitsAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to receive truck stock at home if a Company vehicle is retained at the Break/Fix Technician's residence or other locationAbility to work variable and flexible hours, including significant overtime as needed.Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast paced environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 75 lbsAbility to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climbAbility to access interior and exterior landscapes EEO/EOE/Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet.Teal
