Ambulatory Nurse Coordinator (Orthopedics)
GENERAL SUMMARY Coordinates the operations of designated ambulatory practice(s) associates. Supervises clinical and support staff. Provides direct patient care and assists physicians with patient care. Develops, implements, and maintains operational policies and procedures in consultation with physicians and administrative director. EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. PRIOR EXPERIENCE: Approximately three to four years of progressively more responsible job related nursing and medical office practice experience, preferably in a busy multiple physician practice where demonstrated the ability to deal effectively with insurance companies and HMO's and solve patient and staff problems. CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION/LICENSURE: A license as a registered nurse in the District of Columbia is required.
