Job ID: 276613 Registered Nurse - RN - New Grad - Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit Baltimore, Maryland Regular Additional Job Information Title: Registered Nurse - RN - Critical Care City, State: Baltimore,MD Location: St Agnes Hospital-Baltimore MD Department: Stepdown Intermediate Care 001: 20 bed fast-paced unit caring for critically ill patietns that require intervention and / or assessment more frequently than every 4 hours. The greatest concentration of patients are DKA requiring insulin drips, chronic trach patients requiring vent support and frequent suctioning, early sepsis, and GI bleed with active bleeding. It is a unit that challenges your critical thinking abilities and fosters a great deal of growth in your nursing skills and confidence! Job Description Job Summary: Registered Nurse - RN - Critical Care, provides direct nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Maintains professional development. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED (within 12 months): Certified Advanced Life Support specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. REQUIRED: Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or military CPR-First Aid training. REQUIRED: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
