Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Description: The Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) capability provides civil and environmental characterizations for missile warnings and defense, battlespace awareness, and disaster relief efforts. In recent political bipartisan activity, congress has embraced the concepts of resilience and pre-disaster mitigation (PDM) to protect people, property, infrastructure and critical systems. Several major bills are currently moving through congress reflecting this. As part of this movement to resiliency, there is an immediate need for a team of professionals with systems engineering and integrating experience to perform a resiliency assessment on the OPIR mission for the National Systems for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied Systems for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG). This team will conduct a trade study identifying and assessing Courses of Action (CoA) for providing informed recommendations on cost, schedule, and resource analyses. The position described here is for a network communications engineer. Responsibilities: Provide systems engineering technical expertise in a team environment Provide subject matter expertise in IC communications systems Perform decomposition analysis of existing CONOPS and architecture within the requirements Coordinate and participate in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) Contribute to the development of alternative courses of action Some CONUS travel required/encouraged Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Physics, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent experience 5-10 years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) 11+ years of Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) experience, with hands-on experience in IC network communications systems based on requirements and/or CONOPS Courses of Action (CoA) development and analysis including cost and schedule estimation Ability to work independently and within a team environment Excellent customer teaming skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams Strong interpersonal skills, technical and organizational problem solving, and multi-tasking skills Excellent communications skills Excellent presentation skills OPIR Subject Matter Expert (SME) with understanding of tasking, search & discovery, exploitation, delivery, and use of products Familiarity with current and future corporate applications, tools, and systems within ground architectures Knowledge of NSG Segments comprising the end-to-end Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TPED) process, applicable to OPIR. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSG/ASG Enterprise organizations, architectures, systems, programs, acquisition, baseline control, change management processes Desired Qualifications: MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline IT credentials and certifications (eg, DAWIA, PMP, INCOSE, ITIL, CISSP and SAFe Agile) Working knowledge of NSG change management processes (eg, RFC process) Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary project teams Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Options
