We are seeking a Unit Leader who has the desire to contribute to a legacy of compassionate care that is 150 years in the making. About Us Our Intensive Care Units (ICU) treat a wide variety of Cardiovascular, Neuro, Trauma, and Medical and Surgical patient acuities. The unit houses 16 beds and has a daily census of 14 with a patient ratio of 2:1. Our award-winning ICU team boasts having its ICU clinical coordinator named best in class in Baltimore Magazine's Excellence in Nursing survey. Job Description Job Description In this role, you will assist with management of patient care activities and staff in the ICU. As a unit leader, you will be called upon to mentor your teams and cover for any needs that arise day or night. Key Responsibilities: Supervise admissions, conducts assessment of patient's needs, and initiate nursing care plans. Evaluate and document patient progress. Facilitate planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs, initiatives and objectives for the unit. Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison between the manager, staff and other areas within the organization. Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care services in a unit. Qualifications REQUIRED: Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or military CPR-First Aid training. REQUIRED: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science- Major: Nursing (BSN) PREFERRED: Master of Science- Major: Nursing (MSN) REQUIRED: Two (2) years practice in the clinical specialty for which applying.
