Assistant Registrar (Bilingual - Spanish or Amharic) We are in search of an Assistant Registrar who will contribute to the success of the Registration department by ensuring that prospective and enrolled students are provided the support and direction needed for successful enrollment in the School. Working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, the incumbent will handle multiple responsibilities, solve registration related problems and assist in ensuring that systems and processes meet service expectations and goals for registrations. In addition, the Assistant Registrar will provide over site of front-line staff and is responsible for assisting the Registrar in other key areas and acting as the Registrar in their absence. Responsibilities: Ensure students' immediate needs are met by providing the highest level of customer service in day to day operations through the effective supervision and management of Registrar Clerks. This is includes but is not limited to: Assists in the hiring, training, and development of the Registration staff; Organizes work and delegates responsibility to maintain service and operational standards and evaluate service and make suggestions for improvement. Responsible for organizing and overseeing all registration activities, operations and student record management which includes organizing and assisting in the leadership of professional development retreats and activities. Assists the Registrar in ensuring compliance by analyzing and interpreting local and federal education policies and assisting in the organization of student records and data for enrollment audits and other associated audits conducted by external oversight entities such as OSSE and the PCSB, specifically managing SEDS and special education students. Prepare monthly budget reports, track expenses regularly, monthly credit card reconciliation, and assist in planning for school year budget Takes the lead on internal registration department administrative functions such faculty meetings, producing content for weekly bulletin, school wide communication and announcements Requirements: Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in education administration or the appropriate combination of education and experience. Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively with diverse communities in high pressure situations Adept at using technology systems and Microsoft Office Suite for data management and record keeping. Demonstrated understanding of the application of technology in the area of student records and registration services Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of peers and departments and cross-functional teams Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external officials and stakeholders at all levels.
