Work Ethic and Reliability Fiber Knowledge is a Nice to Have Job Description: Our client specializes in 3 major telecommunications categories- LMR (Land Mobile Radio, IBS (in building systems, IDAS), and ITS (Intelligent transportation systems)Our client has a number of IDAS projects that they will work on over the next few years and roll the installer to each project, but the main one right now is installing DAS systems at John Hopkins Medical Center in East Baltimore. They are also working on some short term projects as well.The installer will be paired with a lead and work "Hand-in-Hand" with them everyday. The lead will be teaching the installer everything they know, they are looking a candidate with a solid/basic knowledge of coax or fiber that really has a willingness to learn. They will be pulling a little but of cable, but not much as most of it is outsourced. The main duties will be testing/terminating cable (.5" and 7/8"), using Anritsu sweeping equipment, installing antennas, etc. They may do some racking and stacking or routers and switches as well as working with J Hooks Additional Information: Really need a candidate that takes initiative to learn their process and procedures. Some of the Vendors they use for cabling/outsource is BO-Mark Electric, Systcom, American Towers, and Crown Castle.Our client partners with Motorola and AT&T. They actually have a 8 year contract with Motorola to support the state to roll out a public safety network. Cannot stress enough how important reliability is, you will make your own opportunity here.
