You qualify at the GS-10 level if you possess two years of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level in the federal government.
Examples of this type of experience includes recognition, evaluation, organization, interpreting, applying and explaining complex legal provisions and issues; analysis, and communication of relevant facts and legal concepts and regulations and procedural requirements applicable to a wide range of subjects; strong skills related to the comprehension and knowledge of legal documents and legal and judicial processes; knowledge of legal terminology; experience with docket control; familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system; use of an electronic case-tracking system; and working knowledge of case management software and computer skills.
