LICSW or LPC for Director of Justice Services in Community Behavioral Health
Community Connections is seeking a Director of Justice Services. The interface of the behavioral health and criminal justice systems is one of the most dynamic and exciting areas of behavioral health practice. Applicants should have a range of experience with the involved population and new ideas to meet the evolving needs of vulnerable people who are justice involved. The Director will provide leadership in the conceptualization of new clinical programs to address the needs of the justice involved population and the development of funding streams to address those needs. The Director participates in leadership meetings at Community Connections and represents the agency in multiple stakeholder meetings around the city.
The Director will supervise and manage multiple projects including:Contract with the Bureau of Prisons to provide a range of behavioral health services to people in halfway houses Local grant to provide Re-Entry services for people leaving jail and prison Services for civilly committed consumers Services to people involved in the District's Mental Health Community Court Services to people who have been adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity
Independent behavioral health license (LPC, LICSW, PsyD or equivalent) and
Five years' clinical and some supervisory/managerial experience in community behavioral health with significant experience working with populations and stakeholders involved in the criminal justice system.
Candidates must have a reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and be able to successfully complete the Bureau of Prisons and Community Connections' background check.
