FOR THE GS-07 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Develop reports on interior design to submit to management; 2) Update information on interior design in a database; and 3) Collect interior design information to submit to management for decision making.
FOR THE GS-09 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Develop recommendations to improve interior design; 2) Monitor interior design to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; and 3) Advise personnel on interior designs.
FOR THE GS-11 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Manage interior design budget in accordance to policies and procedures; 2) Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of interior design; and 3) Coordinate interior design with personnel.
For the GS-12 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Brief management on interior design status, policies and procedures; 2) Answer data calls and inquiries on interior design policies and procedures; and 3) Determine requirements of interior design to develop goals and objectives..
FOR THE GS-13 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Execute interior design in accordance to plans; 2) Develop solutions to interior design issues; and 3) Develop goals and objectives to accomplish mission of interior design..

Positions may require a Financial Management Level I, II, or III certification per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. The certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are outlined in the DoD Instruction 1300.26.
