Be our database guru. Develop and maintain giant databases of airline tickets and fares. Work with sysadmins, java developers, and product designers to provide revenue integrity applications to airlines.


-Create and maintain development, test, and production environments
-Install, configure, copy, upgrade, and patch dozens of databases
-Load data, copy data, fix data
-Keep replication across multiple databases in sync
-Control database access, schemas, and standards 
-Archive data as it ages
-Monitor databases using tools you setup
-Performance tuning and optimization
-Backup and restore databases 
-Write scripts to manage data and regular jobs
-Maintain high availability and be prepared for disaster recovery

-Command line Linux and script writing
-Several years of work experience as a DBA
-Fan of postgres, if not experienced with it already
-Strong problem-solving abilities. (If you don't know, learn!)

-Everyone gets their own office
