Note: This is a part-time position for 18.75 hours per week.


The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Operations staff at ASHA's National Office. The position supports Information Systems, Finance, Marketing and Sales, and Action Center.


  • Review, track, and process invoices for payment
  • Track spending and run financial reports as requested
  • Review and process contracts and agreements
  • Collect receipts and prepare credit card statements
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and order supplies as requested
  • Maintain and file records
  • Assist with Information Systems asset management
  • Assist with managing IT loaner equipment
  • Maintain office printers and supplies
  • Prepare and proofread presentations, letters, reports, certificates and other documents
  • Assist with event planning at National Office by ordering food, scheduling, compiling agendas, and communicating with invited speakers and guests
  • Prepare and pack records and materials for shipment
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Arrange travel for staff
  • Complete projects as assigned
  • Qualifications

Knowledge Typically Acquired Through

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2–4 years related experience

Scope and Depth of Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to proofread effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to use accounting software 

Scope and Depth of Non-Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate a project
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work
  • Experience with basic meeting planning and preparation
