Computer Network Operations Programmer Analyst

Key Role:

Provide installation, configuration, and operational use of network security devices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network traffic analyzers. Provide installation, configuration, and operational use of anti-virus, anti-spyware, and commercial computer forensic tools and products. Collect on-net signatures for network security devices and identify those signatures that are unique to a device. Provide support to CNO developers by evaluating CNO tools and techniques with the above-mentioned security products and tools. Provide written reports on results of evaluations.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with computer science, information systems, or network engineering

-6+ years of experience with programming in Assembly, C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, and Python

-5+ years of experience with developing Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments or 5+ years of experience with developing UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments

-2+ years of experience with developing programs and packet-level programs to capture, analyze, and interpret network traffic

-2+ years of experience with programming device drivers in Windows or UNIX variants

-Knowledge of packet-level IP, TCP, and application-level protocols and network sockets programming

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with UNIX kernel internals and low-level Windows internals at an expert level

-Ability to lead CNO analyst or programmers in daily tasks

-Ability to setup and configure version control software, including Subversion and CVS

-Ability to debug software and troubleshoot issues

-Ability to create and brief technical presentations

-BA or BS degree preferred
