Subcontract Proposal Coordinator
The Biostatistics Center (BSC) of the Milken Institute School of Public Health is an off-campus research facility of The George Washington University located in Rockville, Maryland. The BSC serves as the coordinating center for large scale multi-center clinical trials and epidemiological studies funded by federal agencies including the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Biostatistics Center’s Subcontract Proposal Coordinator provides budgetary support and subcontract administration for a proposed large clinical trial. This is a temporary position.
-Solicits budgets and proposal documents from subawardee institutions.
-Reviews subawardee budgets and proposal documents in detail, checks for accuracy, consistency and inclusion of all required information and serves as liaison to subawardees to obtain corrections and additional documentation needed.
-Tracks documents received from each subawardee and completes spreadsheet logs related to status of budgets and documents received from each subawardee.
-Provides status reports on progress to supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
The position requires:
*Excellent Excel skills
*The ability to quickly learn new software (will be entering into web-based proposal software, Cayuse)
*Excellent communication skills -- able to be concise, friendly, and efficient in written and oral communications
*Good analytical and time management skills
*Candidate to be proactive and willing to take responsibility for assigned tasks
*Good organization skills
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
