The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers are seeking a Financial Assistant. Responsibilities include: track e-timesheet hours to allocate billable salaries, benefits and expenses to several entities that share certain services. Perform calculations and prepare monthly invoices using MS Excel. Process journal entries for accounts receivable and accounts payable to book both sides of transactions. Process external invoices, generate vendor payments and maintain full general ledger for small entities. Maintain various Excel spreadsheets for misc. cash receipts and use on-line banking portal to make deposits remotely. Qualifications include four-year accounting or business degree with minimum of two years of relevant experience; Understanding of both financial and cost accounting; Expert user of MS Excel; Detail oriented with excellent organization and communication skills; Experience with automated accounting systems preferably Sage 500.
