Audio Visual Support Specialist - Law Firm
AUDIO VISUAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST NON-EXEMPT LOCATION: Washington, D.C. - NW (metro-accessible) REPORTS TO: Support Services Manager The Audio Visual Support Specialist (AVSS) will provide Firm users with reliable communications by addressing all issues concerning the Firm’s need for audio visual reinforcement, video conferencing and multi-media production, scheduling, and monitoring. The AVSS will also assist other offices and perform other duties as needed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: >Scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining video conferences (Tandberg Management Suite): Scheduling video conferences utilizing TMS system, checking unit availability Monitoring video conferences from start to finish (to ensure no calls are dropped and that there are no service issues, such as poor sound quality) Maintaining equipment remotely to ensure that units are fully functional and active within TMS system >Liaising with local office’s Receptionist / Concierge to ensure that meeting rooms and equipment are available and booked in accordance with procedures >Connecting and setting all necessary layouts on available Cisco bridges >Assisting with remote troubleshooting and reconnections via TMS and Codian systems >Organizing all Firm WebEx and audio connections for video conferences >Ensuring that all global inventory is regularly updated >Assisting with media editing and duplication (DVDs, CDs, VHS, and online distribution) utilizing both Mac and PC software >Assisting with digital image editing as needed, utilizing various graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Apple Aperture) ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS: >Attending seminars, maintaining current knowledge of leadership skills, and reviewing related professional publications in efforts to practice continual improvement >Following the Firm’s growing projects >Interacting with all levels of staff in a professional manner at all times QUALIFICATIONS: >At least two (2) years of hands-on experience in video capturing / editing, digital conversions, and audio visual equipment utilization >Experience with Adobe Premier software, Crestron and Extron switchers, touch panels, basic audio visual troubleshooting / maintenance, video conferencing usage / operator support (Cisco TMS, Codian Bridges, gateways, and VCS infrastructure), online media formats, conversions, and distribution technology >College degree or relevant work experience >Solid understanding of E.164/H.323/H.320 and SIP protocols >Knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows 7 >Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment >Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively >Detail-oriented with willingness to learn >Flexibility to cover different shift patterns >Ability to lift or move equipment as needed Please submit resumes in Word format to email@example.com.
