The Associate Vice President of Clinical Integration works closely with AHC focused and performance driven leaders who have helped build our brand as a high value comprehensive care delivery system in the region.

AHC's Clinical Integrated Network plays an increasing role in Adventist's growth strategy across many service lines and care settings as it enables us to bring our value based care tools, processes and people to more physicians across the region. Through the One Health Quality Alliance Clinically Integrated Network (OHQA CIN) AHC is creating the leading medical group and high-value ambulatory care delivery network in Maryland. OHQA CIN is physician-led, primary care driven, patient-centered and clinically focused.

Adventist HealthCare is driving a higher level of sophistication in how our OHQA CIN is composed and managed. The AVP Clinical Integration will provide direction and guidance to the development of provider alignments using his/her expertise and analytical skills to help determine how clinical providers group up by specialty and service line to focus on value.
In a value-based care model, high-performing physicians focus on improving patient outcomes through disease management and lowering costs by decreasing the need for emergency department visits and hospitalizations. The OHQA CIN has:

OHQA CIN brings independent and AHC-employed physicians and providers to develop patient-centered solutions that improve patient outcomes while reducing costs. Patients benefit from quality, coordinated, evidence-based healthcare that allows them to better manage their own health in partnership with the network of providers.
The AVP of Clinical Integration will play an important role in driving significant change throughout Adventist HealthCare and the communities that it serves. The AVP will work across the continuum of care to assist in growing Adventist's robust clinical integration and population health infrastructure. This role will support the growth of Adventist's CIN strategic direction, prioritizing goals as they relate to community and physician engagement.

The role reports to the Senior Vice President for Population Health and Post-Acute Care Services and works closely with the Vice President for Physician Services and Programs, the CIN Medical Director, clinical service line leaders and executives across Adventist HealthCare.

The AVP of Clinical Integration will be an experienced clinical leader who can clearly and comfortably communicate and collaborate with physicians of various backgrounds, system leaders at various levels, establishing a culture and system to support Adventist HealthCare.

Full Time


  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and strong commitment to care excellence
  • Master's degree in business, health administration or other related field
  • Seven plus years of experience working with healthcare systems with a sizeable employed physician base
  • Conceptual understanding of a clinically integrated organization, as per Federal Trade Commission guidelines
  • Strong experience developing/implementing operating plans and analyzing both financial and quality data
  • Ability to lead a comprehensive assessment of a physician network to create an alignment plan - inclusive of all potential models (i.e. CI, employment, co-management, medical home development, IT deployment)
  • Understanding and appreciation for facility/ancillary contract reimbursement methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership
