EXCITING LEGAL OPPORTUNITIES IN BALTIMORE! Leading law firm with expertise in a variety of practice areas is seeking bright, professional candidates for the following openings in their Baltimore office: 1. HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing the Chief Human Resource Officer’s (CHRO) schedule Supporting the HR Director with day-to-day HR operations of the Firm, benefits, new hires, onboarding, and HRIS management Answering employee questions regarding benefits and company procedures Coordinating with Payroll regarding any relevant employee adjustments Maintaining HR records by recording new hires, benefits, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, and merit increases in HRIS Assisting with the staff onboarding process, from offer through new hire orientation; coordinating all new employee needs (computer, email, phone, etc.) Ensuring compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Managing background checks with third-party vendor Maintaining accurate employee personnel files, including the tracking of required certifications Maintaining spreadsheets with corporate passes, LOA, and community service hours Maintaining and sending COBRA and FMLA documents Assisting with scheduling open enrollment, health fairs, and Firm-wide parties Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources Department Other projects, as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: College degree, at least two (2) years of administrative experience, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently Willingness to learn Ability to manage multiple projects under strict time constraints High level of professionalism with sensitivity to the confidential nature of HR work Stellar attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably UltiPro Open to recent college graduates with an interest in Human Resources though 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred. 2. ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST (AP/AR) Ideal candidate will possess a college degree in business or a related field as well as 1-5 years of relevant experience.Open to recent college graduates with some accounting experience, a willingness to learn, and an interest in growing within the field. 3. LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (CORPORATE) Ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of legal administrative support experience.Practice-specific experience is preferred but not required.This role will support 2 Partners and 2 Associates within the Corporate practice group.Strong client relationship and proofreading/editing skills, the ability to draft documents, and a highly professional demeanor are required.
