The Arms Control Association is seeking a dynamic, experienced chief editor for its monthly journal,
Arms Control Today.
Applicants should have a proven track record in the field of journalism/publishing, either as a journalist and/or an editor. A strong commitment to high-quality writing and scholarship is essential. Candidates should also have excellent editing, writing and reporting skills; demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and support junior staff and consultants, and engage effectively with outside scholars; strong knowledge of print and digital publishing best practices; the ability to execute multiple assignments under tight deadlines; and the ability to provide leadership for long-term planning and strategy for the publication. A solid understanding of the international security and arms control field is a major plus.
Salary: commensurate with experience.

Arms Control Today has been published since 1972 and is widely considered a top publication in the field of arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament. Each 40- to 52-page edition is published in print and online.
