Client Services Coordinator
The George Mason University, Mason Enterprise Center (MEC) is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a Client Services Coordinator for the Mason Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Mason SBDC is a sponsored program of the university, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Virginia Small Business Development Center. We provide group and 1-on-1 counseling services at no cost to local small business owners in Northern Virginia Area to start and grow a business. The nature of the counseling is to provide the businesses with the resources they need to start and grow the businesses, including helping in marketing, finance, and business planning parts of the business. The Client Services Coordinator for the Mason SBDC is the initial point of contact for current and prospective clients and is responsible for the intake and management processes for accepted clients. This position inputs and updates client information and service status into the customer relationship management database, Center IC. It also provides marketing and events assistance and assists the Assistant Director with special projects that support the operations of the program.
This position is responsible for: * Creating digital and printed marketing materials about the program and upcoming events. * Creating and distributing a monthly newsletter * Using social media to promote program and events * Assisting with event planning and execution by providing logistical support, preparing documents, and providing onsite support. * Representing Mason SBDC by providing information about the program and answering questions * Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: * 2-year business degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. * Demonstrated experience, or comparable education, with an emphasis on customer service and program support. * Strong social/communication skills and customer service skills including telephone etiquette. * Ability to work independently, anticipate client needs and take initiative. * Good organizational, communication, and inter-personal skills are critical. * Proficient in Microsoft Office â€“ Word, PowerPoint, Excel * Familiarity with marketing and social media tools Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of and experience using Center IC database
