The Barker Adoption Foundation, a non-profit adoption agency, is seeking a licensed social worker to serve as a Crisis Pregnancy Counselor to work with pregnant women and their partners who are considering making an adoption plan. Applicants must have flexibility to work both evenings/weekends on an as needed basis. Primary duties include responding to phone calls, meeting with clients and providing guidance, education and counseling about the adoption process. MSW degree and ability to attain social work license in DC and Maryland required. Ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, crisis intervention background, understanding of grief and loss, and experience in counseling or social work. Must have car and be willing to work evenings and weekends from home with travel throughout DC/MD/VA.  Please send cover letter, and resume to: No phone calls please.
