We are an engine of opportunity. We are the gateway from good to great.SUMMARY:This is a six day operation working in a Cold Storage Warehouse.One area is 38 degrees and the freezer is 0 degrees. The Team Leader will manage theday-to-day planning, operations and problem-solving so that their team meets its required objectives. The Team Leader delegates workload, monitors the team's performance, and identifies training and development needs. The Team Leader is the communication link between the front-line and management, and disseminates information to the team and forwards information to his manager in a timely manner. Warehouse Team Lead will meet individual goals and performance targets, which include but are not limited to productivity, and accuracy. Schedule may change based on business needs.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists the warehouse manager/supervisor in all aspects of scheduling Order ProcessorsPick/stock customer & vendor orders.Trains new co-workers and current co-workers in warehouse processes and procedures, including safety practicesCommunicates daily plan to other warehouses and discusses any activity changes with other team leadersOvertime may be required to complete all tasks assigned by a manager/supervisor/Other duties may be assignedRotating Shifts 7:30 am to 4:30 pm/9:30 pm to 6 amRotating Saturdays as well.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with performance evaluationsLead team meetings and provide weekly documentation of meetings to Warehouse ManagerEnsure the warehouse is a clean and safe work environmentProvides a written monthly summary of problems and concerns with recommendations for solutions to Warehouse ManagerCover for team leaders in other facilities when necessaryResponsible for required facility maintenance during 2nd & 3rd shift when necessaryKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:RequiredBasic computer skills, ie, Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelGood verbal and written communication skillsGood "people" skills with ability to build relationships with people at all levels, and lead and motivate teamAbility to plan and prioritizeProblem solving skills, including dealing with personnel issuesFlexibility to work additional hours when necessaryPreferredMinimum of 1-2 years' experience leading a team or equivalentWarehousing logistics experienceEDUCATION AND TRAINING:RequiredPay rate: 19.23 an hourOPENWARFIXFEEDS
