    All required documentation must be received by the closing date of the announcement.

    To meet minimum qualifications, you must have a High School Diploma or GED certificate, plus two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience. You MUST provide documentation of education or your application will not be considered. 

    Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts are required. If you are selected for the position, a criminal history record check will be conducted. 

    To qualify based on education, applicants must upload a legible copy of an official or non-official transcript or degree to verify your education at the time of application. The transcript must contain the following information: 1) school name, 2) student name, 3) area of study, 4) the list of courses with credit hours and 5) cumulative GPA or class ranking. If selected following your initial application, you will be required to provide an official transcript before the start of your assignment.

    Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

    Please note there is a mandatory one-year probationary period for all non-judicial new employees.

An interview will be required of the highest qualified candidates. The District of Columbia Courts conducts background and reference checks.
