  • Per OPM Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations, the applicant's experience, education and training must show enough knowledge, skills and abilities to demonstrate the potential to successfully perform the duties of the position.     You must possess experience
    • in repair and preventative maintenance on large systems that provide for a variety of heating, ventilation and air conditioning;
    • Construction, installing, repairing and modifying wood and wood substitutes structures and items such as building frames, rafters, concrete forms, walls, interior and exterior trim and miscellaneous items;
    • Maintaining, repairing or modifying for accessibility, and occasionally structures of concrete, block, and occasionally brick or other related materials;
    • Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and preparing and painting walls, ceilings, and fixtures

    Other Notes:
    Must be able to obtain and maintain certification by an EPA approved institute as it pertains to the handling and control of refrigerants (Freon) and other Ozone Depleting Substances (OZDs) associated with the HV AC trade. Universal Technician Certification required by 40 CFR Part 82, subpart F. If you are unable to obtain certification within 6 months of entry into the position, you may be removed involuntarily without further compensation.
