The Systems Engineer position is responsible for supporting core infrastructure systems operate in
a stable, efficient, and optimized manner. Specific tasks include assisting with design, installing,
configuring, testing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure systems. The Systems Engineer will
resolve issues by working with the Senior Systems Engineer to apply outstanding communication,
analytical, technical, critical thinking, and creative problem solving skills to ensure all systems
operate effectively and efficiently to maximize education opportunities for students. The position
will assist in developing process to ensure the district gains maximum benefit from supported
technologies. The System Engineer will also work as a service desk resource collaborating with all
teams to resolve issues.

* Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff on core infrastructure projects
* Work with all teams to design and deploy new systems and enhancements to existing systems
* Utilize critical thinking skills to troubleshoot core infrastructure issues
* Develop documentation and processes for internal and end user support
* Monitor and document system performance and identify solutions, as needed
* Work with senior engineering staff as required on projects, problem resolution, and other related
tasks as required
* Act as technical liaison for service desk inquires and client support

Bachelor's Degree in Technology field and experience servicing computer systems and networks;
or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the following
knowledge, abilities and skills:
* Ability to work with team to ensure alignment with core infrastructure projects and initiatives
with division mission and goals
* Ability to conduct research into new technologies and determine fit for division
* Proven working experience supporting core infrastructure systems to included, Active Directory,
Virtualization, Storage, and Cloud Service environments
* Minimum of five years' experience with maintaining core infrastructure systems
* Ability to train staff and clients in the operation all supported systems and platforms
* Strong customer service, organization, and communications skills
