To be eligible for the GG-07, you must meet the following required education level: Completion of 1 academic year of graduate level education, or do you have a bachelor's degree or have completed 5 academic years of pre-professional study.
All educational requirements for this position must be met by June 30, 2019.
Program Completion and Conversion:
Interns may be converted at the discretion of the agency to a permanent position (or, in some limited circumstances, to a term position lasting 1-5 years) within 120 days of successful completion of the program.
To be eligible for conversion, Interns must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Complete at least 320 hours of work experience acquired through Internship Program
- Complete their degree requirements
- Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the Intern will be converted
- Perform their job successfully
1) A high school whose curriculum has been approved by a State or local governing body, or a home-school curriculum that has been approved by such body or state.
2) Any of the following educational institutions or curricula that have been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the secretary of the U.S. Department of Education:
(i) A 2-year or 4-year college or university;
(ii) A graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school)
(iii) A graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school)
(iv) A home-school curriculum
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements, if the applicant can provide documentation indicating that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide such evidence when applying.

This public notice announcement is for a standing register for anticipated vacancies, and may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to 120 days. Applicants may be referred for consideration as vacancies occur up to 120 days after the closing date of the announcement.
Pay will vary by geographic location.

Students will typically work a full-time schedule (40 hours per week) and will have to commit to working a 160-320 hours during the summer months.
Appointment may be extended for 1 year if student maintains enrollment.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
