  • Requires knowledge and skills in printing composition, printing processes, typesetting, and hi-volume print production. A thorough knowledge of US GPO style manual, proofreader's marks, printing markup plus tools and techniques used in legal document/book creation, and proofreading/publishing. An excellent command of the English language is needed. Applicant should be capable of understanding/communicating technical information. Ability to remain calm and professional in a high-stress environment when confronted by demanding users, short time frames, high-profile cases, or other pressing needs. A basic knowledge of XML and an understanding of website structure. Additional qualifying experience with Internet/website applications and CMS and HTML is needed. Design skills; should be fluent in Adobe Suite applications. Hands-on working knowledge of Miles33 OASYS XML Publishing Software or other XML code-based typesetting/page layout publishing software is a definite plus. MS Office experience required, as well as a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.

    Strong interpersonal communication skills required for this high-demand customer service department. Excellent time and project management skills are necessary to meet rigid publishing deadlines.

    Successful candidates will have either a college degree and web proficiency utilizing state-of-the-art software applications for converting and uploading digital files to the Internet, or a minimum of 8 years of printing/digital publishing experience.
