  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Position may require compensatory time or adjusted work hours to facilitate meeting financial cyclic timeline requirements or to respond to higher headquarters tasking.
  • Occasional travel may be required on an intermittent basis.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

  • A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
  • For GS-13 Financial Management Analyst position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
    *Experience using the Defense Travel Administrator (DTS) in accordance with DTS documentation and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) guidance.
    *Experience generating and analyzing financial reports that allow for policy formulation, planning actions and for evaluating financial performance of the command. *Experience examining and analyzing financial records, financial and management reports and financial policies and practices which affect and reflect financial conditions and operating results for the command.
    *Experience preparing detailed analysis and estimates of annual funding needs for one or more future budget years to include gathering, comparing and correlating information about projected costs of current and future programs and activities.
    *Experience certifying accuracy and completeness of financial improvement and audit response (FIAR) initiatives and assertion of audit readiness for the command.
